Create a Product Template from Catalog
Catalogs created on the Inkble system provide full product information including real product images, descriptions, prices, and other related costs. Users can duplicate these existing catalog products and customize the details to create their own product templates for their stores—making it easier and faster to create new products later.
- Click on a catalog product you want to create a template from in the Catalog section.
- Under More Actions, select Create Templates.
The following fields should be reviewed and updated to complete the new product template:

| Pricing | Pricing: displayed price of the product; Compare at price: original price before discount; Cost at price: production cost per unit |
| SKU | Stock Keeping Unit – internal code for the product |
| Barcode | Printed barcode on the product packaging |
| Product Type | Product category, e.g., 30/40 Oz Tumbler, Bedding Set |
| Collection | Assign the product to existing store collections |
| Tag Value | Add hashtags related to the product template, such as sale codes, product attributes, sizes, etc. |
Depending on your store’s setup, the Advanced section may vary. Some products do not require configuration in this section.
For example, a completed product template will display information like this:
Note: For products with multiple variants, each variant may have different prices depending on its size. For instance, a Size Super King in a bedding set may cost significantly more than a Size King.
If your template includes multiple product variants, click on the Variants section at the bottom to update or configure prices and inventory for each variant. If you skip this step, the system will apply a default price and set inventory to 0 for all variants.
Once everything is complete, click Create in the top right corner to save your new product template:
- You can edit or delete your created templates using the two action buttons in the Action column.
- To view all created product templates, go to Product -> Templates.
